Water Temps - What are you getting?

Hi guys.

Curious to know what water temperatures you are getting with your loops - particularly if you're running a CPU+GPU one. Purely out of curiosity.

I'm assuming most are running full ATX setups which should give you better figures, especially compared to me (My rig in question is in my sig. very small ITX setup, both CPU+GPU watercooled).

I've an ambient room temperature of 24c. water temps sit at 32c currently with no load. Under a heavy and consistent CPU+GPU load, they'll peak at 45c. i7700k is overclocked to 4.8ghz, GPU also has a minor overclock.

32C is high for no load...

I cool my 7940X with 13 Core @ 4.8Ghz and 1 Core @ 4.4Ghz + a 1080Ti Overclocked (2075 / 12000) and on load my water temps do not exceed 26-27 degrees BEFORE enetering the radiator...After the radiator the go down to even 19C on load.

The PC room temp is @ 18-19C though right now and in the summer I let it go up to 24C like yours. During the summer I increase the fan speeds on the radiator since now they are spinning very low at 550rpm up to 800 when on high load..

I use an external MO-RA 420 Pro radiator (9 X 140) which is more efficient than internal rads as it always gets fresh air and unobstructed.

Pre and post rad temps should be nearly identical in a running loop.

There is virtually no temp delta before and after the rad since the system quickly reaches equilibrium. You may measure 1-2c difference tops, not 7-8c. If you are seeing that, one of your temp sensors is bad (swap them and the delta will move).

FWIW my ambient temp is currently 23c and my loop temp after just watching youtube for 30mins is 27.1c. If it was just the CPU though coolant would be whatever ambient is.

well I am running a FX9590, and two GTX 580's. with two 360mm radiators at load, the water stays within a 5C delta T from ambient.

Well after butchering my side panel up some more (particularly the tinted plastic panel i put on) i've managed to drop water temperatures by 5c. Sitting at 28c idle, 41 load. (if room ambience is 23-24). so clearly my temps are a case airflow issue, which is no surprise given 1. its a tiny ITX case 2. not the greatest itx case for airflow

Still, im quite pleased with that. Not so pleased with the hack job i did of the panel though.

Pushed my 7700k back to 5GHz for now - delidded, of course.

do you guys have any pics of the rigs you mention? Just wondering. Am i also right in assuming these are ATX machines?

No offense but, if thats what it takes to get acceptable temperatures count me out. HAHA.

I'm all for self-contained loops -- all internal. Applying this principle to an ITX rig proved to be even harder than i imagined, but i got there in the end.
