Advice on how to sell hardware "stockpile"

Hello all. First time poster here, at least that I can remember, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I am asking here as most of the hardware I am looking to get rid of is water cooling related. Now for the backstory. In the middle of 2017 I went way into the deep end of the water cooling pool and picked up TONS of different hardware of all shapes and sizes with visions of building multiple systems with custom loops. The closet in my office is completely stuffed with boxes of rads, pumps, reservoirs, PETG/soft tubing, and more fittings than I care to admit to purchasing. I even have an assembled but never used CaseLabs SMA8 in gunmetal with all of the accessories I thought I would need to recreate Jayztwocents Skunkworks build as that was my goal. I instead chose to go with the Phanteks Enthoo Elite when it released due to its more noob friendly design. In fact, there is so much stuff that I even have a folding table set up in the room to hold the overflow.

Fast forward to the last month or so and I am realizing that I am never going to use all of this stuff and really want to free up some space in my office. I am going to be rebuilding my system out of the Enthoo Elite and into a Fractal Define R6 as its footprint is much smaller, and I need to get rid of all of this hardware. So my question to you all is this. How do I even begin to sell all of this stuff? I am not looking to get top dollar for it all but I would like to recoup at least some of my expense. I have been really close to filling up garbage bags a couple times and dumping it all but then I see all the pretty EKWB/Hardware Labs radiator boxes, Singularity Computers pump and res parts, etc. and I think to myself that there has to be someone out there willing to pick this stuff up at a discounted price. I would really like to get some opinions and options on how to go forward with this. If you are reading this and are reasonably close to the Tampa, FL area and are interested shoot me a PM. I do realize thats a pretty slim chance though. The vast majority of the equipment came from PerformancePCs in South FL if that makes any difference. Thank you all, have a great weekend.

Edit- For those that want to see what I finally built out of all this chaos, here is a link to the system as posted in r/battlestations not long after it was built. https://www.reddit.com/r/battlestati...cer_xb271hk_1/

You need 35 rep to sell on OCN, but /r/hardwareswap is good and the requirements are pretty simple (basically account needs to be 50 days old). eBay is usually a guaranteed sale but the fees are pretty bad.

I usually list stuff I wanna sell on OCN and if it doesn't sell it goes to /r/hardwareswap and Craigslist. If that doesn't sell it goes to eBay and if it doesn't sell after that then I toss it

Hi,
Indeed eBay is not a seller friendly site, it's buyer friendly though with returns... but usually the seller is first to get hosed and expected to pay for return shipping....

Should be easy enough to sell in US, you have crap ton of selling sites and plenty customers to pick it up.

As far as eBay goes... "What return shipping? The items didn't arrive!".

Even selling stuff in person for cash is always a pain. Let alone dealing with all the buggers that sell used PC parts, or buyers that get moody or try haggle last minute, etc. Depends where you are, some places are OK for 2nd hand selling and buying of electronics, some not.

As far as OCN selling goes, there are often rules that need to be followed to be able to list here. Sometimes those rules are outdated so you would have to ask a mod on how to proceed.

Try selling locally. I tried giving away some of my stuff and shipping is just too much.

The caselabs sma8 should be easy to sell. Can sell that anywhere.

I would only ship the rest within the usa as anywhere else is expensive shipping. I found out its cheaper to buy new stuff with free shipping than try to ship my stuff internationally.

I have same issue as you and i only could reduce it by giving it away to friends (hence why all my friends have amazing water cooled pcs with nice specs). However most of my friends who would want an watercooled pc now have one. So i now have to find another way to get rid of them.

Thank you all for the advice and quick responses. I will try to put together an inventory list of items and go from there. To those that shot me PM’s, I will get back to you asap. Most likely Monday or Tuesday.
