Took The Plunge

So I took the plunge, removed the Corsair CLC and built my first custom loop. Went with hard tubing which, was interesting, to say the least, as I had never even run soft tubing before. Anyone have thoughts on this before I run cleaner than, fill it up? Also have a drain valve that isn’t pictured yet. Ran a fitting short. Will be here tomorrow. Sorry for the phone pic.

Hmm....welll..umm...this looks kinda awful...did you use the correct sillicone inserts for the tube? You simply CANNOT do it without inserts or the tube will collapse.

I think you've heated the tubes way too much or haven't used the right inserts.

Honestly I would've gone with 90 deg hard tubing everywhere but that's helluva expensive due to the amount of fittings needed.

Yeah, was worried about that. The insert seemed a bit small but was specified for 16/12 mm tubing. I did order a second set of tubing as well to re-do that. Think I should re-do it before trying it out?

The bends are bad, it's way from perfect but it has style.
Do a leak test with demi water and if all stays dry, run the biatch!

You can use the running loop as some sort of template while making other bends. I'd keep it this way for now. Wrong but it be still effective.

Yup, gotta re-do the bends. First time. Think the insert was the issue. Going to run it though and see how it works temp wise at least. Figured go with the hard tubing to learn. Not going to wimp out and go with soft yet lol.

Thanks for the input! I will keep you guys posted.

Also consider adding a valve at the bottom to drain the loop. I would not fill it at the moment because you'll have to plug all the ports afterwards as there will still be water dripping out of the rad and res when you move the case around.
Using bending tools on a flat surface makes bending a lot easier: https://www.amazon.com/BXQINLENX-PET.../dp/B01GNP8Y4E

Yup, I have one. Mentioned that in the opening post. Got a nice Bitspower valve that I’ll be installing. Missing fitting, new tubes, and new insert, should be here today and than I’m gunna fill it. I re-checked the insert I ordered on Amazon and it is indeed the wrong size. Whoops! Round 2 here I come.

This is an update. Need to re-visit the front tube with the valve on it.
