RYUO OC temp optimization

Hello,
Veteran here, been a while.

I just installed my Asus ROG RYUO on my Louqe Ghost S1 MKII.
As the title says, my temps are, to me, unacceptable.

I did use the stock RYUO thermal paste and my 8700k is not de-lided.
Currently 4.8ghz @ 1.25v followed
for OC instructions as I am a bit out of the loop.
As it stands, my temps are around 45-50c idle and hitting 85-90c on load. Would love to shoot for 25-30c idle and 70-80c on load.

I want to know what my options are here. I do not want to de-lid as I do not want to void the warranty, unless somebody can convince me otherwise. I would be ok disassembling and re-seating my AIO but would like a solid plan in mind.

Would also like recommendations for stress testing. I am currently using p95 blend test with 12 workers and HWMonitor for temps.

Thanks everyone. Excited to be back to the world of OC!

I don't really use p95 for stress testing... I run realbench for a couple hours and call it good.

Running an i5 9600k with a 5ghz oc on 1.39v 24/7 no instability..

Loop is pump > CPU > 360mm rad > 1080 > 240mm rad > res

Ambient temp of 70 degrees Fahrenheit
Idle temp of 40c
Load of 78c

Using core temp and inline sensors

Hi,
You'll never get anything good out of a 240mm rad
280mm minimum and 360mm best.

I tried an AIO solution... Temps were never satisfactory, even under a light OC. went with a custom loop solution from EK never been happier.

Hi,
As long as you keep in mind we're talking about a asus aio pos not a custom loop with a hardware labs radiator
Even I have a pair of gtx 240mm rads on my x99 that work okay but not exceptional.

No, I get that. My first "watercooling" adventure started with a Corsair H100... I was not satisfied with the returns and went custom cooling.

Hi,
All 240mm aio's are a waste.
Live and learn

Delid the 8700k and it might drop temps 15-20c where the op might be happier with but 240mm on pigeon poop 8700k nope.

Got the copper IHS, delid & relid kit, Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut, Hydronaut, and Permatex gasket maker.
Here's my first de/re-liding! https://imgur.com/a/SVBW04c
Currently waiting an hour for the gasket to set.

Edit:
Gasket set. Temps are insanely better. 20-30c with my 5ghz OC topping off at 70c currently. Amazing!
