if i remember correctly, it's something about how silver is higher on the galvanic corrosion factor, thus is more likely to cause issues with copper?

if its only a week, don't waste your time with silver, etc etc.

the copper in your loop will act as "copper sulphate" would, which means as a microbe killer. It can just be overwhelmed.

make sure you give the system a good rinse before dumping the mayhems in & I hope you got a Blitz kit if you're going straight into anything but X1 or Mayhem drops.

It was 10 year or close to it for sure. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just bought the newly released and most expensive CPU I've ever bout (i7 980X). I wanted to water cool that from the start, I never drained it and just kept refilling the reservoir as needed.

I do actually have some Blitz part 2 on the way as well with the coolant I ordered as I cleaned the gpu block pretty well but who knows whats in the rads. Oddly enough the monoblock I have needed zero cleaning as it was in pristine condition. Here is what the gpu block looked liked before I cleaned it with warm water and a toothbrush. The bottom right corner has some buildup but the fins look fine.

Distilled water with biocide here and no issues ever and I've ran loops for years before changing components.

Are you using copper blocks, is that why you arnt using an inhibitor? Its fascinating too see multiple users just using distilled and biocide.
