Has Asetek AIO won the day?

Watched this review of Swiftech new 360 'custom' AIO.
It does not perform any better (noise/cooling) than your typical Asetek clones at a slightly higher price.
After so many revisions, Asetek has gotten the performance, reliabilty, noise, compatibility down to perfection.
Is there a reason not to buy AIO instead of custom ones?

it performs the same as an asetek or coolit cooler. The cooler can only remove the heat that is present on the IHS. I'm guessing you would see different results if you used a different chip (say a ryzen 1000 or 2000 series).

That being said it is just a cooler.

The 5930k on his test bench uses solder.

will be interesting to see if the bash CLC brigade on OCN goes back to only recommending air or they just ignore it and continue to recommend the Swiftech AIOs.

no it will be complaints about the testing being unfair or its a 28mm thick rad rather than a 30mm one in the asetek ones lol

it will still be better because you can refill it

But why would you recommend an expensive AiO if a D15 or a Dark Rock Pro 4 is in the same ballpark temperature wise and will still work 50 years later?

Who would recommend an AIO to someone who has a 50 year lifespan requirement?

more importantly, where are all the 50-year-requirement cooler shoppers?

Nah. Pretty much the same as the TPU review - https://www.techpowerup.com/review/s...-x3-aio/6.html
Only TPU's testing does start to show the inherent advantage that the Swiftech handles more heat more readily, which is why you see a gap starting in the AIDA64 tests.
I am the first to say that Swiftech really borked this kit with the included fans. They are really the weak point and do the kit a disservice in the name of argeebee.

Yeah....the little girl hentai avatar is really creeping me out....
