I'm mainly looking for info on the Heatkiller IV vs the EK Vector RTX RE 2080 TI (Which I can't find anything on the RE edition which is supposed to cool better then the original Vector block)
With the rising cost of the high end Nvidia cards I think we will see fewer full comparo roundups of GPU blocks. It was hard enough in the last couple of gens but now its just crazy.
Proper testing is extremely difficult, time consuming and expensive.
I think Igorlab done tests of all RTX 2080Ti waterblocks
From his testing Aquacomputer Kryographics RTX 2080Ti with active backplate have been best which I can only confirm, have used their waterblock with active backplate and temperatures have been better by 2-3°C than with Heatkiller or EK Vector RTX 2080Ti WB
Thanks for those. Had to run the links through Google Translate but it worked out. Would like to see him run the Vector RE against the top two as it's "claimed" to be better performing due to being redesigned. I'm leaning more toward the Heatkiller though myself unless some test data pops up for the RE edition of the Vector between now and when I pull the trigger.
I can tell you the heatkiller is one of the best block in terms of quality. You can feel the difference in the quality. I have owned EKWB and heatkiller and after using them, for my gaming rig, i will always go with heatkiller over EKWB. The only downside is you will never recover any extra costs spent on the most expensive RTX2080TI blocks. People are going to pay the same for an EKWB and Heatkiller product.
EKWB have the widest range, Watercool have the best performance by 1-3 degrees. Got an EKWB for MSI 2080 Ti Trio X Nikel. WC do not sell one for my GPU so EK get my money. If I had a standard PCB, WC every single time. Also think EK is overpriced and eventually someone is going to compete with them and take them off perch as the WC go to.
