LIAN LI O11 Dynamic build questions

Hey all,

Decided i am finally going to get back into watercooling (old rigs in my sig) and i have decided on the LIAN LI O11 Dynamic with the ek distribution block and vertical gpu.

edit: Shortened the post a bit

My biggest build questions is around the radiator support (given my desired setup) and a good vertical gpu mount (I had bad luck with a thermaltake P5 riser cable in the past). With the distro plate and vertical gpu mount will i only be able to fit a single 360 in it? (I will only have a 9600k/mobo + 2080 super to cool) and can i comfortably fit a 60mm thick rad or should i stick with a ~38mm) or can i slide anything in on the bottom mount under the gpu? (Just fans if i cant fit another radiator down there, i just want a little more air flow in the case).

What would be my best option for a vertical gpu mount for this case?

Thanks!

I’m about to do something similar.. with almost the same build with a distribution plate. I guess the biggest question is where are you putting the distribution plate? In the front or side? If you place it in either location. I would assume the top is still accessible and either the front/side for the 2nd rad.

From what I’ve seen. People have put the distribution plate in the front, a rad on the side and rad on the top. I could be mistaken, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit seeming how the distribution plate is smaller than 3 fans on the side or on the front. Theoretically 3 120mm rads could fit in all 3 locations simultaneously. I wouldn’t suspect the distribution plate to stop that.

Yeah, you’ll lose the bottom because of the vertical GPU mount. But the top, And side is still accessible.

"My PC is a work of art, it shall never be disrespected placed on the floor. If anything it would be placed on a pedestal.

If you’re using a distro-plate that mounts to the side fan bracket then you’ll be able to fit a 420mm rad up top (3x140mm fans) up to 45 or maybe 50mm thick. You won’t be able to fit a 60mm thick rad with normal fans. I’ve seen some people use aftermarket GPU vertical mounts that screw into a 120mm fan and stick a thin 360mm rad under it. There are a few different GPU mounts out there that will slow radiator mounting underneath.

Is it the side mount, or front mount distribution plate? If it's in the front, you can mount a 360 in the side and a 240 in the top. I'm using the Antec vertical GPU bracket and I have it mounted to the top card slots. I can fit 120x25mm fans under it this way, but it doesn't have enough clearance for a rad with the fans.

Well i got the case, distro plate wont be here till monday so i should have a better idea how things will fit.

I am returning the Lian li vertical gpu mount as it has 0 room for anything on the bottom when using it.

Getting the cooler master one, which at the very least will give me room for some fans (Ill do intake with the ones on the bottom and then exhaust out the top of the radiator). The radiator up top is 38mm, not sure if ill have room for push/pull or if there will be any other places i can squeeze in a radiator.

distro plate will go on the side

I almost had room for a 360x45mm rad with push/pull fans in the top of my case. My motherboard has an odd heatsink above the CPU socket and the second set of rad fans hit it when I tried it that way, so I ended up mounting the rad in the side instead. As long as your mobo doesn't have any weird protrusions, a 38mm rad should be fine.
