EKWB Leak Tester

I am new to water cooling and want to do a Water Cooled Custom loop for my Luxe 2 build and im kind of nervous. I was looking to use all EKWB stuff and I saw they had a leak tester.

Is there leak tester a reliable tool

Don't own it, but before you ask me 'why post then', allow me

I'm not a fan of this kind of a warning: "Keep in mind that the pre-defined safe maximum pressure defined on the gauge is for EK products only."
Now it's 2019, so granted, this may well be for legal issues alone, but they -do- use cheap(er) plastic, which does crack easier; i can correlate, but again, i have no facts. I guess if i used EK products exclusively, i wouldn't hesitate purschasing one.

Myself, i use this: https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product...lo7eqlks2p0j2n
Zero complaints.
(just so you know there are alternatives)

* For the record, i steer clear of anything EK-made or sold. I don't trust them and with good, actual, empirical reason. On top of which, they're usually more expensive than the other brands. The wonders of the 'free market', where a subpar, more expensive product actually outsells most of its competition ^^

Pride, honour and purity.

I didn't realize people used leak testers. I have been watercooling for the past 10+ years and have never used one, if there is water dripping, then you have a leak

Build your own much cheaper then the EK one. Besides the EK one is just a rip off of the Aquacomputer Dr. Drop.

I’ve always used a leak tester, much safer to find a leak by air then looking for a puddle of water.
