For the $ Corsair ML 2 Pack. You can find them for $30 a 2 pack from time to time on Newegg and for $15 a fan there is nothing close.

I am very sensitive to any sound and even refuse to keep HDD in anything but removed hotswap trays because of the sounds they can make bothers me. I returned an X570 master for the x570 extreme because the master chipset fan was intolerable even with cans on. I have 10 of them running in my Dynamic XL and until 900ish RPM you cant hear them and even then a BeQuiet Darkrock Pro4 cooler in a second PC makes more noise when it ramps up.

MLs are great as RGB fans, if not going for RGB then I'd go for Arctics, Silent Wings 3, Noiseblockers or Noctuas.

The only issue I have with SW3's is that they cost significantly more than something like the Arctic P's.

The noctua A12x25 have been the best fans I've used in years. Ugly as sin but absolute amazing performers for the sound level.

Likely get some more to replace the redux noctuas I have in my NAS

I ended up spray-painting 'beige / brown' A`12 Noctuas with black Rustoleum paint....works great. Just use plumbers tape for the gap between fan assembly and frame

Tape between the gap?! The A12x25 gap is incredibly small

...plumber's tape (usually teflon and used for threads on plumbing equipment). 'Tape' is a bit misleading as it can be twisted into a really thin shape. I also use it on all my water-cooling fittings

Gotcha, but why did you use it on the fan?
