I’m sure EKs response to that will be. “Intel spec”

So far it sounds to me like the best option for out of the box performance with out having to dink around and ease of use is the foundation.

Not being in the game long enough. Could someone tell me why intel and amd don’t just ship with perfectly flat IHS? Wouldnt this solve a lot of trouble? Would it really cost that much more for them to do this? Or do I have it all wrong?

Hi,
Correct on points
A lot of people wonder about the top of cpu's

All I can figure is crappy manufacturing press that installs the caps too much pressure and bends the top.
No design reasoning would come up with such a lame result turning the top of a chip into a bowl is just whack stupid.

Hey, great news!
AIDA64 CPU stress has 60-68!

Backed off Vcore back down to 1.225 and LLC at 6. After a shut down then back off the screws about 3 turns and tighten back up. Gotta tell ya IM not a fan of the VRM cooler on this board. Leave it at default and you can heat your morning coffee on it. Fans won’t even kick on until 60C and low with 90C being the high speed. Maybe it will be better in the case. I’m just used to my water block where 40C on the VRMs was at a heavy sustained load. Running 52C ATM but I adjusted the fans. Think I’m gonna run that back down and just sit a 120 blowing across it as that pitch is about annoying as hell.

OK so I paid for it once like 5 years ago or something. Not a bank breaker at like $40. Biggest reason I bought it was because it integrates with aquasuite software and has other things too. You can so a nice OSD of you want. If I was worried about $40 for that then I certainly wouldn’t buy legit digitally signed Win 10 pro or pay $750 for a new MOBO, $1300 for the chip in it another $1100 for the ram and $3000 on GPUs. We won’t get into the water cooling or $800 case.

On a side note I’m actually making some progress. Just switched from the 505 bios for this that has the latest crappy lake codes back to 404 with 49 microcode and even though I had to dial my ram back as that one blows for ram past 3200 the temps have dropped by 10C! Right now ending the long bench low of 70 and high of 86.

Hi,
Yeah I could of gotten aida64 for 4.us last year off ebay but that's not the point I'm not a sells men for aida64
It's not needed anyway too many free apps to bother with it

Need is defined by personal preference. Like I said I have it and use a good bit of it’s attributes but the primary reason for purchase was that it integrates with aquasuite software.

I’d never heard of it until I bough the aquaero 6 pro and spent a lot of time on their forums learning to use the software. Great software but the manual is the user forums. I know I spent a month reading and goofing with it to get just what I wanted and the first thing I save off a drive before a clean install in the aquasuite data file as it’s a lot of work setting it up for the OSD and graphs. Had it not been for that, I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

Well see had you gotten it on the cheap its good for 3 machines. I Could have bought two of the 3 for a buck fiddy and youd only out a dolla1

OK, Craplake Microcode 64, 68 and 69 in BIOS is causing increased Thermals in CPUs and reduced performance. Two different BIOS ROMs Ive now run with Micorcode 49 have dropped temps 10C-11C on the max core. I dont need craplake MC so 49 it is. This makes it worth it for me to format, do a clean install in Win 10 and run multiple Renders of classroom for comparison.

BIOS 505 with memory running at xmp 3600 CL18, Mesh at 3Ghz, Vcore at 1.225 4.8 GHz all 14 cores with no AVX offset. LLC at 5. Current limit short and long to 4095. Phase optimized and both Core and Ram at 140% current. The same on other things like Svid disabled, Core volts in a 1.95. etc etc.

3 runs same 505 BIOS with Microcode 49 or 200004D if you like.
