You have to top off? Is the system open to the environment?

thru your hoses. PETG, LRT, rubber... etc etc, they're all porous and lead to evap over time.

that's the main benefit of X1 over mayhem droppers. X1 prevents evap AND acts as a surfactant.

It leaks through the tubing.

Also even distilled and mayhems biocide and inhibitor with mayhems tubing can cloud if you get the PH balance wrong.

You have to keep adding a few drops of biocide and inhibitor every few months.

As the water evaporates through the tubing the PH balance changes and diluted the biocide and inhibitor hence the need to top it off every so often.

nothing wrong no... it's just nowhere near the best option for the health of your products. specially in a modern world of "brass" mixed metals, etc etc.

honestly, you're a masochist tempting fate if you run JUST distilled water for long periods of time. folks just didn't notice so much back in the day cuz you couldn't open blocks/they didn't have transparent tops. (even the manufacturers note this)
