The 011 XL is a great case and I highly recommend it for a custom WC setup. But I'm not sure why you'd bother with it if you're set on just a single 360mm rad. It's a very roomy case, even with 3x360 rads installed (see my setup below). With a single radiator you're going to have a ton of empty/unused space.

With that said, I'd still recommend sticking with the 011 XL. However, I'd invest a bit more and go for at least 2x360 rads to give yourself more head room & future proofing for the 3080 ti or BIG NAVI. I think it's safe to say that the more powerful next gen GPU's will very likely run as hot or hotter than the current offerings. Requiring even more cooling to keep clocks stable, where you want them.

Adding a 2nd 360 rad is not going to make a negligible difference of "2c delta". It's going to be a substantial improvement. For reference, with an 011 XL and 2080 ti + 3900x, I was averaging GPU gaming temps around 48-50c with 2x360 (38mm thick) rads and fans at 1200RPM. This was perfectly respectable and well below max thresholds. However, adding the 3rd rad, with the same fan curves, brought my max GPU temps down another 5c, on average. I never tested with just a single rad but I'd be shocked if the second rad didn't provide notably better results than the 3rd.

To each, their own. But if you really are planning to get the 3080 ti or BIG NAVI, you should prepare for that with your build now. Especially with the case you opted for.

I love this setup! Always liked the blackout with touches of white... Very clean!

The 0-11XL is so good that I hate my Enthoo Elite and am about to rip everything out of it and sell it.

People say that an additional rad is worth 2C so 5C is very good.

@Sc00ter What GPU do you have? Apparently the glass won't shut on the 011 XL with some of the wide EK Vector water blocks...

Link? I have 2x2080Ti's with EK blocks in an XL and looking at it, I can't possibly imagine how the side or front panel glass would not be able to close.

In case it serves as a reference, on the O11 XL I have this, a non reference card, a big Aourus Xtreme 2080 TI and it fits well, there's some space with the window:

This is actually a good call out. I have a 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra with the EK block. It is a VERY tight fit. There is less than 1mm between the edge of the block and the side glass. I honestly didn't even discover this until I completed my build and tried to put the side glass on. That moment was stressful, to say the least.

I believe this is one of the largest 2080 ti PCB's and it does fit with the EK block. It's just extremely close and if your card is not perfectly snug in the PCI-E slot, the glass won't close.

I just snapped a pic to try and demonstrate how tight it truly is. Believe it or not, there is a slight gap there...

The other issue with the EK block on the FTW3 PCB is that it's quite long. So unless I got creative with my pump mounting, I couldn't fit the GPU vertically. Even though I do have a vertical bracket for the 011 XL.

If I could do it all again, I'd have purchased a 2080 ti with the reference PCB as those have more GPU block options and the blocks are a bit smaller. But, the FTW3 + EK block does fit, nonetheless.

Interesting pic. That vertical mount for your XL wouldn't happen to be the Lian Li dual mount would it? If so, you interested in selling?
