AIO Cooler 2 vs 3 fans

Hi

I am buying AIO cooler from nearby stor for my 3800x, they have 2 and 3 fans model. Price difference is however ~ $65 so what do you think ? if 3 fans model will make more good amount of cooling I will get it.

Are they both 120mm fans or is the 2 fan one 140mm? With 140mm u can get nicer stats, i.e. more airflow less noise. The current king of the hill is the Arctic Liquid Freezer II:
. Although the graph he shows a 280mm beating 120mm & 240mm. I have a NZXT Kraken X72 which I use liquidctl.exe not CAM to control. I have 3 3000 rpm Noctua fans sitting round waiting to be installed (going to place one of the replaced fans as a dedicated RAM cooler).

That's a pretty power hungry CPU. I would definitely go for the 50% increase in radiator space and airflow if you can fit it just as easily in your case.

Assuming you plan on using the CPU for more than web browsing, the extra space will allow you to run the three fans at a lower speed relative to the two-fan option, which your ears may appreciate even if you don't wind up using the cooler's maximum capacity. At 2,000 rpm, you'll definitely hear them.
