Do you need thermal pads on the power chokes?

I added a waterblock to my 2080Ti and noticed there are no pads that go over the power chokes. But then I looked at the stock HSF and it dident have any on the chokes either. However, I recall from previous builds that chokes get absurdly hot under load. Like, hot enough that I cant touch them without getting burnt.

Adding thermal pads would be tricky because there is not much of a gap between the waterblock and the chokes so it could create problems with the block sitting on the card correctly. but I could add some TIM to them. Is it worth it or unnecessary?

Note, this is only about the chokes, not the MOSFETs. The MOSFETs have cooling.

chokes don't need a heatsink or a thermal pad.
