I've bought Pentosin G12 Coolant Additive which is UV reactive and after I fill my system I'd like to use a UV light to check for leaks. Last night I checked Lowe's but they didn't sell any UV light bulbs or any kind of UV light.

Where would I get one of these? Walmart?

Also, would this mixture work for my coolant: (?)

Distilled Water
Pentosin G12 (mixed at 1:9 ratio)
PetraTech's PT Nuke Biocide (just a few drops?)

lowes should have one, I know home depot does, they are where you buy replacement bulbs, just need a black light. Walmart might have some.

Oh... all I need is a black light bulb? I thought I need a "UV light bulb" or something like that.

Here's another really stupid question: Does distilled water go bad if left in a car for a long period of time? (eg. 10 hours?) Does it ever go bad as well? (if left in a refrigerator, etc)

black light is UV
shouldn't go bad in a car, since it just sits there in the plastic jug for who knows how long, and I don't think it can go bad in the first place.

spencer's would definitely have one, but the one near me only has like the 24 and 36" bulbs.

You don't want a UV light blub near a PC since they get very hot. Get a CCFL (Cold Cathode tube) or UV LEDs instead.

Distilled water becomes "normal water" again overtime since it absorbs ions in metals and air.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) Report, not respond to Spam (6) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (7) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives (8) Requirements come before hardware for servers

the water won't go bad as long as its sealed, soon as you pop the top though you're letting bacteria and what not in.

What I usually do is open the water and dump my corrosion inhibitor in and my anti-fungal stuff in and close the top.

After that you can store it indefinitely, so long as the lid is tight and it doesn't evaporate

Here's what you do. Go to Radioshack, go to the corner with all the Thermaltake stuff and grab the Dual UV CCFL kit ($14.59 here) it's made to hook up in a PC. They are probably the best black lights I've ever had. Makes everything UV reactive on my mobo SHINE WITH THE POWER OF AWESOME.

I use AMD, Intel, ATI, Nvidia, Mac OS, Windows, Debian, and Unix. There is no right or wrong way to love computers.
