That is interesting, I always assumed that the TECs acted like an insulator when shut off.. I am actually still planning around using one of Ultrasonics dual waterblocks. It would definitly make me less worried that if the TEC psu died the cpu would still be ok.

Well, I'm running it at 4ghz right now with the tec off and its keeping at about 34'C which is actually better than on air... load temps creep up to 55-58 but that's still decent at 1.35V.

Caps lock is like cruise control for cool.

i7 920 d0 at 4.83ghz at 22'C ;D

Temps controlled by UltraSonic2's 2x50mm TEC waterblock.

Thats great, I hope to be joining the TEC fun soon. Just sold some old computer stuff / laptop and will be putting it towards a TEC system.

I'm not sure what mobo to use yet, but it will be an i7 system. First I will just cool the CPU with TECs, and see how it is able to dissipate the heat. I was going to go with 3x120mm rad, but I think I would be better getting a 3x140, and possibly a second, especially running the 300W Qmax TECs at full power.

Great results though, and thanks for posting!

You'll need 2 rads to dissipate that much heat, and likely some beefy fans.
