Hi all,

Long time not been on the forum, but I'd like to share a trick to unlock both VDDC (to 1.381v) and MVVDC (to 1.688v) on the Sapphire 7970 Dual-X.

After hitting and missing quite a few times, I finally got my 7970 to [email protected]/1.688v.

It's kind of tricky, but it works, with the 7970 Dual-x Blue PCB/ 2x8pin PCI-e.

First, flash the bios to the 7970 Dual-x OC Boost:

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/1...72-120926.html

Then download Trixx 4.4.0 modded:

http://www35.zippyshare.com/v/4022846/file.html

And Trixx 4.6.0 (the last one):

https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/

So, start first sapphire 4.4.0 modded. Set the VVDC to 1.381v and the MVVDC to 1.7v. Close it.

Open Trixx 4.6.0, move the VVDC and MVVDC sliders a bit and bring them back to the max value. Apply. Done.

Hi

Can someone tell me if this method is working ?

I have a sapphire dual x 7970 with blue PCB.
The vcore on hwmonitor max is 1,175 but when I start furmark benchmark the vcore don't go below 1,09v

I can't handle more than 1075mhz core clock. I want to tweak the vcore to 1,15 or 1,175 to keep 1150mhz.

Thank you

Finally I could enable the VDDC on msi afterburner.
I just enabled in the settings the unlock voltage case.

Know there is the VDDC toggle on MSI AB and I could reach 1238mv which is in GPU-z something like 1.225mv max.

Before I could only'reach 1075mhz stable with heaven engine with stock 1.175v which is 1,09v on GPU Z
Now I managed 1150mhz stable benchmark but not yet tested for long run.
I hope I will achieve 1200mhz with 1.25mv in GPU Z

Actually from stock 925mhz to 1150mhz, with heaven engine, represent an increase from 58fps to 68/69 which is +20% more!

I find that the memory overclock help with MSAA. For exemple, stock 1375mhz to 1500mhz = 41fps to 44fps with msaa x2 on furmark

Only issue with my card is that the second fan don't start before 83% of speed fan, it only start one second when I boot the pc then shut off
