Just snagged a RX580 8GB Red Dragon from MC for my son's rig, they have a killer deal running on them at the moment. So far it has been a worth-while upgrade for his rig as he had a GTX1050 SC that I'm probably going to put in a SFF build I have. But I can see his CPU is definitely choking the 580 as it's still rocking a Phenom II x6 1055t.

Hi all, my RX 470 nitro+ died while gaming and I got a replacement from store a "refurbished" same model.
I opened it since it looked used too much- I am sure it was ex-mining cards since it was very dirty under cooler(same if you stuck your finger at your car's front wheel and get dirty black finger lol).
I see many caps soldering on back of the PCB where the VRM are, and the VRM's look different- square with metal exposed: IR s4458 - does any one saw this on other cards too? is it better?

So I finally got some time to install the small cooper heatsinks I got for my VRM. Did not expect a drastic difference, but I think they are actually worse that the aluminum I had before. Now I'm throttling in places I wasn't throttling before.
