The Solidworks 2015 result looks really good vs the $5000 Quadro P6000.

Creo could use some improvements

Autocad needs work

...

AMD has a lot of work to do. Right now it just exists, but isn't competitive in gaming and in other things besides Solidworks 2015 (2017 is out now).

► Recommended GPU Projects: [email protected] , [email protected] (FP64) (AMD moreso) ► Other notable GPU projects: [email protected] (Nvidia), GPUGrid (Nvidia) ► Project list

Who cares about games, this is not a RX card, it is an FE card designated to show the potential of future pro versions.
The pro result are astonishing for the aircooled one price. It is highly competitive on all the professionals task but gaming.

I corrected your sentence for you, it should be better now! Please do not mistake again, or bring something that show it is not competitive for computing!
Without sandbagging obviously!

Some hard voltmod by buildz here
Finally an amd advert that target the user of that card. A bit late i would say unfortunately, here! I love the song, and the unreal logo! ^^

Ouch, hard voltmod. I prefer soft ones.

I am RMA'ing one of my Vega FE cards. It keeps crashing to a black screen when under load. I suspect it could be a temp issue however i am not going to break the warranty sticker to find out why. I do plan to water cool these with AIO's possibly in the near future. Right now i just need a card thats not borked on stock settings so i dont play Russian roulette later....

Damn shame

Also meant to mention, during a simple 4k unigine heaven benchmark i am hitting over 1,000 watts at the wall with a stock Ryzen7 1700 !!! These things are def power hungry..

So Vega FE x2 with 50% PL and higher fan curve pulled almost 1100watts at the wall..

Does your system end up shutting off when the card is under load?

Well i am going back to recheck this. When i built my new ryzen build i moved everything over i could from my intel except PSU. I was using an 1100 watt psu on the new ryzen build and now i put in my 1600watt psu to test again. I dont recall having any issues on the intel setup but the card in question was secondary.

I did have one shutdown one the 1100watt psu after taking out second card. but before doing that i moved second card to primary and it was just going to black screen under load. To make sure its gpu before i send off im am testing both cards on my 1600watt in primary and will see if i get black screen or even power off. I will report back.

If I modify any WattMan settings (post reboot) the system will shut off after a few seconds of light/heavy GPU load.

I have to reset WattMan and reboot in order for the system to go back to normal.

I haven't the faintest clue as to why this happens but it's probably just a driver issue.

I wonder if in some form you're running into the issue.

Hopefully we'll have access to a new driver when RX Vega launches.
