Just ran a benchmark for the first time in almost a year. How come I can only get 6500 in Superposition 4K? Last year, I was getting 7200+. I am about to ditch AMD for good.

Check the settings in wattman i'd say, superposition is a good benchmark as it displays current core and hbm clock during the run, check that those are reasonable...

Last time i got around 6500 in superposition 4k optimized i think was close to when i got the card, few months after launch...
For the most time now ive got around 7650 i think it was.

Only time i got low 7100-7200 points despite good clocks was when i fed the memory controller +100mV in hopes of getting higher hbm clock, didn't work and got lower score with the same clocks so i guess memory controller didn't like the higher voltage and threw a lot of errors which got corrected cause no artifacts where visible...

Thanks for the tip. Clocks are yo-yoing between 1300 and 1750. I have never seen this. Usually the clock starts at 1700 and ends up at 1730.

Check if Radeon chill is enabled for some odd reason?

I currently have it running at 1750Mhz all the time with 1750/1105Mhz @ 1175mV without an issue.
How did you get the card to run at P7 all the time? The only way I know is to disable all but P7 state in the OverDriveNTool.

I responded to you previously in one of the threads already and posted the temporary way to lock it in this thread a few pages back.

Edit: I want to add it doesn't run P7 all the time. It goes through all the states correctly but when gaming with +50% power limit it doesn't cause the frequency to fluctuate and actually runs at P7 when at 100% load without over boosting.

Flash back to LC bios and reinstall the Radeon gaming drivers. For some odd reason P7 state is locked for a few reboots and eventually clocks go back to normal.

I guess no one believed me until I showed proof. We should all yell at AMD until they allow us to properly lock the bios to a state. It's possible since I'm able to.

Radeon Chill is disabled. Heat is not an issue, since my card is on water. I just want a way of locking the frequency to 1730 mhz.

Never said heat was an issue. You mentioned low frequencies which was why I asked.

Are you using the LC bios or is it the standard Vega card?

Undervolt P7 to 1200mV if you are on the LC bios and you should see it will stay between 1700Mhz-1730Mhz.

Along with 50% power limit increase.
