25k is low for 1750Mhz/1100Mhz @ 1200mV, what is your LC bios version? I might just give you mine instead to flash.

Not sure what bios version I have since I'm not on my PC right now, but I'll try yours. It's definitely from 2017 though. I'll PM you my email address. Thanks!

The issue still persists. The GPU tach lights ramp down every few seconds and frame rate tanks. Does anybody know where I can get the older Adrenaline drivers to see if the issue is drivers?

Yup, why everyone should bookmark it, it's a God sent. Has Nvidia drivers as well.

Hello everybody! A i am planning on buying a Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro. And I would like to ask some questions. If any Nitro Vega 64 owner would answer that would be nice.

1. On a single 144hz 1080p monitor does the HBM2 memory get stuck on max speed while idle in 144hz mode, or runs it at a low P-state (idle speed)?

2. Is the support bracket mandatory to install or just an additional choiche for anyone who wants to do so?

3. Is undervolting with Sapphire Trixx easy? I have never played with volts around and I would like to know if this is generally easy to do.

Thank you very much in advance Vega users!

I have a Sapphire Vega64 Nitro air cooled.

1. At 1440P 75hz there is no problem with anything running too fast at idle.

2. The support bracket is easy to install and doesn't get in the way so I put it on. It seems to reduce sag a little bit.

3. Trixx is the only software that actually does work on this gpu. It doesn't have the most features but at least it works. Set a custom fan profile for the best results. I have the fans hitting 100% @ 60C. These are my current settings. They used to be higher but it went unstable in one new game so I backed them off a bit.

Thank you for your reply! The 144hz refresh rate problem is a common known problem even for single monitor setups. When the monitor is set at 144hz the memory runs all the time at max speed even when the card sits idle doing nothing. This causes high idle temps and procs the fans to work all the time. I read somewhere that this issue has been fixed for the vega gpus. 75 hz 2k sounds nice as a setup, yet the problem is caused only with 144hz+ refresh rates.

So i wanted to know if it still persists with Vega gpus. If not i can fully enjoy my 144hz monitor with a Vega GPU without having skyhigh idle temps.

Also would you advice to buy the Limited esition or the normal version of the GPU?

Thank you! 🙂

hey everyone!
I recently bought a used gigabyte Vega 64 (air cooler) and have worked to undervolt it etc and wanted to post some results and see how I compare to y'all. these are all with my i7-4770K at stock (i need to get my OC back on it and rerun, I know)

P6: 1572/1010 (anything below 1010 crashes in superpositon specifically)
P7: 1717/1145 (i can push the core higher here for 3dmark runs, but this is stable steady state in heaven, doom, crysis 3, superposition)
edit: +50 power limit too

I typically see a consistent steady core clock of 1649-1652

graphics scores only:
firestrike: 23,942
Firestrike extreme: 11,678
FSU: 5943
Timespy: 7814 (6510 combined)
heaven benchmark with x8 AA: 2230
superpositon 1080p Extreme: 4975

fan profile is set high (like 80%) but I wear headphones so w/e
this is a great upgrade from my dated 7970's!

I've got a little thermal headroom left, especially in benchmarks bc HBM is in the 73 deg range and thermal diode reads 66ish...while sustained gaming is a few deg higher ones the temp curves plateau...but the voltage increases needed per 10mhz step on core P7 are growing.

I think i've got a decent chip?

edit: going a little higher on core for p6/p7 enough to pass firestrike, I can get 25,500ish...the memory seems to be stuck at 1040mhz to not crash, but I'm going to start over from my undervolt base and rework to max mem mhz before jumping core clocks up. my hwinfo reported card power draw peaks at 330W with my run that can get 25,500
