It won't draw more power than spec, it won't overvolt, it won't do anything other than tell the card "Hey, just draw as much as you need". If we were talking about registry edits that would allow for +100% power limit, that's another story, but +50% is safe.
+50% power limit increases the power limitations compared to the stock "Balanced" profile. +50% power limit will increase heat which will thermal throttle unless the fan is set to around 80%. Depends if they want the most performance or if they want a mix with bearable fan acoustics.

Undervolted to 900mV which doesn't require a PL increase since it's not using anywhere near the Balanced profile power limit of 264w.

Stock voltage with a 50% PL increase with P7 bugged to run 100% of the time.

Balanced on Air uses 220w
+50% power limit uses 330w

Balanced on Liquid uses 264w
+50% power limit uses 396w

I share my Undervoltage transaction values.
These values are stable and smooth. (Asus Strix Vega 64)

GPU Frequency: 1630Mhz (Between 1530-1575Mhz)
HBM Frequency: 1100Mhz (Default 945Mhz)
P7 Voltage: 1060Mv
P6 Voltage: 1000Mv
HBM Voltage: 1000Mv
Power Limit: + 20%
Full Load Value: 221-230 Watt.

Average Temperature GPU: 68-72 Degree
GPU VRM Temp: 43 Degree Idle - 95 Degree Load
SOC VRM Temp: 43 Degree Idle - 95 Degree Load
Mem VRM Temp: 41 Degree Idle - 86 Degree Load

How do you think these values are?

Hey Recently I got a RX Vega56 but benchmarked it against my R9 FURY and the score isnt that different also I notice the load clock isnt near the P7, I wonder what do I need to change to get near 1600mhz core clock in superposition?

All of the above is correct except P6/7 use the same voltage value of 1060mv.

Power limit is always +50% when I make changes to a GPU.

Undervolt and overclock it, your CPU maybe holding you back also.

Just did a run on Superpostition at stock frequency and voltages and got 9011 score on 1080P High settings just so you can compare. With undervolt and overclock i get 9692, so again probably your CPU holding you back.
