ASUS Radeon 6850 with BSOD memory voltage controller- pencil mod

I have this card for years and recently I begin to play some games again. It was OK with COD 4 (still) but it has started giving me issues with Mass Effect Andromeda.

I have found some guides online that are directing towards memory voltage controller. However, recently I am vaving similiar situations with completely different computer: Dell Precission M6500 with nVidia fx2800. They say that the cause is the same overheated card turns itself off. Problem is that I am just browsing net, not even playing on the laptop.

Is it possible that I have a virus of some sort that is perhaps using my GPU and causing BSOD? E-currecny diggers are recently popular, I thought maybe somebody has created a virus to help.

If it is not a virus, can somebody help me to identify memory voltage controller to bypass its heating sensor? I will attach pictures when requested.
