RX 580 8gb no hdmi audio.

i7 4790k 16gb ram z97 gaming 5. can anyone help to fix this. on integrated gpu it works but not on rx580.

right-click on the speaker icon in the tasbar for volume, and the menu should pop up with "playback devices" somewhere on it.


Click that, and what shows up?


If your gpu hdmi device does not show up, might simply be a driver not installed. The audio pass through is a separate driver from the gpu


For my 1080 TI and the old GTX 770, they show up as "nvidia output"



For AMD, they may show up as radeon or amd <something here>

i fixed it by moving older amd sound drivers to system32/drivers
