5700XT fan curve

I've tried to set fan curves in both MSI afterburner and AMD Wattman.

But it seems the card is ignoring the fan curves I set. Is this the same with everyone else?

I have the Sapphire 5700xt pulse

With my Sapphire Vega 64 wattman is useless but Afterburner still works, but Trixx is best.

I've got your exact same card, 5700 XT Pulse from Sapphire and I can set my fan curve through WattMan without issues. Currently using latest drivers, 19.9.2, (without Relive) cleaned installed with DDU in safe mode.

Wattman and afterburner don't play nice together.

Indeed, I had to uninstall AfterBurner because I was getting crashes, sudden reboots and BSODs with previous drivers last month. So, at least for now, I'm solely sticking to WattMan and so far so good

So i figured it out. The fan overrides my profile in wattman when the gpu hot spot temp goes over 100c.

WTH. I have a reference XT and i've never seen it go over 92c. That was when the ac was off for testing.
You either return that or fix it yourself. Maybe the pads are not making proper contact.

The only reason my temps go that high is cos the fan stock setting is set too low. Maybe by design to keep the card quiet. This was in a HAF 912 case. My temps are now much lower in an Air 540.

Well yeah your only using 182 watts of power on your gpu.

It varies. HWinfo sometimes measures it 225W. But look at my clocks. almost 1900MHz when gaming clocks is only 1700 something MHz. With AC on my temp now in an Air 540 does not even see 90c.

If op's temps was recorded during gaming, then definitely have an issue with contact. I don't think reviewers got the same temp from the pulse.
