New 5700 freezing in game

Just got a reference 5700. Performance is great, temps are in check, hot spot mid 80's, gpu low 70's.

Just playing COD MW, when a new game starts it freezes for a good ten seconds, right when you think you need to kill it it gets going, also whenever I alt tab back to the game it does the same thing. ALso when the game is running but I am on the desktop things feel laggy.

Not sure what the deal is. Never experienced any of this with a 1060 or 2060, and when the game freezes its system wide, does it sometimes while I am on the desktop but game is running.

He means you should of DDU your way out of the other video card before thinking of installing RX 5700

Also each power lead should come from a different 12v rail .

Ryzen 5 3600
Gigabyte AB350M-DS3H CF
G-SKill 16Gb
Red Dragon RX 570 8Gb
Corsair TX 650 watt

My PSU has two power leads on each cable, you think that matters? Sounds like a mess of wires with all those extra PCIE plugs. I guess I could test it out.

Yes its a mess but test it out. Also try an older driver.

Last thing I'd try is re-seating the GPU.

My friend had this issue with his 970, it was the PSU that was causing the issue.(it was some garbage CM 600w)

I would do a clean uninstall of Nvidia and AMD drivers using DDU, then reinstall the most recent AMD drivers.
