I used a screw driver n popped it off. I laid the screw driver in this photo from what I found was the best way to do it. The base plate is way tougher then the heatsink. I don't think you could bend it if you wanted too.

Want to add thermal pad between back-plate and GPU, but can't find anywhere how thick are the rest of thermal pads on the card. Gigabyte 5700 XT Gaming OC.

Is it worth re-pasting my 5700xt Nitro+ to try and get lower edge temps? Maxed at about 91c after a couple hours of gaming.

Edge temp is so high? Can't image what junction temp is then. Something is definitely wrong there. Nitro should be cool, below 70c edge I would say, certainly below 80c all the time.

I am trying to install a AIO and keep the stock cooler to cover the GPU. Thanks for the photo.
