5700 XT Hot Spot Temp

Got a Nitro + SE for a months now, the hot spot was always around 90c to 100c, once it even hit 109c.

Today I've decided to repaste it with some kryonaut, but it didn't change much. During apex legends and borderlands 3 the hot spot reached 96c.

Is it normal to have such an high hot spot? Am I doing something wrong with the mounting pressure?

Why are you asking us this when you don't tell us the fan speed you are using?
Also, are you using 1 pcie cable and using the dual pcie connectors or are you using 2 pcie cables?

It really depends. What is your edge temp? Which bios are you using?

All stock, I think is 1500/1700 rpm.

The card is connected with 2 different cables.

Seems normal to me, it won't throttle until it hits 110c. You should try to undervolt it though to prevent it from power throttling.

Using a freshly installed driver without touching the oc settings I was getting 60-65C. Have you tried getting 2 cans of air and removing all the dust bunnies from your PC case to keep it well ventilated?

Mine doesn't get that hot. Eh, I usually run -20% power anyway. Still much faster than the last card I had.

Hotspot goes up to 82C @ stock.

In summer probably 92C.

So no needs to repaste? The core temp was actually fine, 72c max

Replacing the paste alone won't do much. If it's not any higher then it was before, I'd guess the mounting is fine. Turn up the fan speed to max just to see what it does.
