Actually, it depends which game you play. Thing is, an oc'ed 5700 can easily match or even beat a stock 5700XT.

Also, check this crap out.

explain again how I'm on the loosing end of the stick for that?

for not researching the product you are buying and then taking used stock back to a shop.

idk man, but I've got some vibes that we won't be seeing any decent high end competition until intel's 2nd or 3rd gen. (5-6 years?)

microcenter is aware of their customers doing stuff like this, and build it into their policies/warranties/etc. you should hear the horror stories from a sales assoc.

Seems like they're on about a 3 year lag behind nvidia...

They do tend to be priced well though

yep. doesn't seem like there's enough time for them to compete with NV3x series unless they've got some serious hat tricks stashed away.

n who knows. maybe someone's got it in their head that its in their best interest to focus on the console first, then start releasing high end GPUs again?

OP is asking how far behind is AMD gpu and mentioned 1440. How do you quantify that? Benchmarks?

My 5700 does not stand a chance against other mid-range cards if that's the stick to measure. It does not mean, tho, i can't enjoy gaming at 1440.

Midrange is always too hard to really do because there is so much variance in the cards and what is "mid-range"

I always just compare the top dogs.

Is the Radeon VII still considered the top card for AMD?

So then I see when that was released and go as far back as I need to see when nVidia had a similarly performing card.

So in that example, 2019 vs 2016
