5700 XT Liquid Devil / O11 Dynamic

Anyone have a 011 Dynamic with the 5700 XT Liquid Devil?

It appears this card will not fit based on Lian Li's GPU dimension guidance (too wide)... however I have found at least 2 images online that seem to show this card working in this case.

Anyone try this combination before?

It fits in the Dynamic XL but based on the small amount clearance between front glass cover and the card I do not think it will fit in the Dynamic. Maybe there is 3/8 to 1/2 inch clearance.

Thank for the reply,

I think there is an extra 13mm or so clearance between the two cases so maybe just maybe it will fit... I found this picture of a build:

However I couldn't find any other details about this build... as far as I can tell though that is a 011 non-XL due to the Der8auer badge being present in the back of the case. I'm still waiting for a motherboard for this new system so can't test fit things at the moment.

Ok, according to Newegg the Lian Li 011 dynamic has room for 159mm tall graphics card, which equates to 6.25 inches. Powercolor lists the height of the LD as 162mm but it is not clear if this is from the edge of the PCIe connector or the edge of the PCB. My ball park measurement of my LD installed on my MB has the height at about 6 inches, i.e. PCB edge to top waterblock. So, you may have about 7mm of clearance

i have a 5700xt strix with an ek block. it just barely doesn't fit the o11 dynamic by about 3mm. visually the dimensions are similar to the 5700 xt liquid devil.

i ended up using a vertical gpu bracket:

Motherboard will be here tomorrow supposedly so will test fit then... from what I can find from the Lian Li diagrams the measurement is from before the PCIE connector, so it may just fit.

Well this card is a no-go in the regular 011 Dynamic, you end up with about 3 mm too high not allowing the side door to close.

I agree. It's cheaper than buying an XL and it looks good if you do it right. The only gotcha is if you run an x570 motherboard. Since the GPU and mobo both support PCIE 4, that's what BIOS will default to. I haven't heard of a PCIE extender/right angle bracket that can reliably guarantee PCIE 4 connectivity. Some models work alright for some people some of the time, but none of them are 100% reliable. If the extender cable doesn't work at PCIE 4, you'll have to plug the card directly into the mobo, enter BIOS, and set the slot to PCIE 3. Then you can plug the extender/ bracket back in and use it as normal. It won't hurt performance, but it's an extra step to be aware of.

I run a Phanteks vertical adapter in my sig rig. Every time I update or reset my BIOS, I have to go through this process. It's not a big deal now, but back when Gigabyte was sending out a new BIOS once or twice a month it got kind of annoying. It also doesn't help that due to my loop config, I can't relocate the GPU without draining, and at the time I didn't have a backup GPU to plug in. Before I figured out the extender was causing my boot failures, I could get the system to boot on about 1 out of 20 attempts with HDMI and never on DP. This adapter is one of the cheapest on the market, so you may have better luck with a more expensive model.
