Tried manual approach, did not work, even after using search function in registry.

The tool worked.

Haven't updated driver in like 6 months, forgot about whole ULPS thing, second card started to overheat , though my pump died or something, till I realized GPU was running @ 99% the whole time.

ATI can fry a lot of cards like that. Can't believe that bug still exists, it's been freaking years.

2015 and this thread is still helpful. Sad that it's still needed after 5 years.

A simile is like a metaphor.

What's the consensus as of now then (July 2015)? Leave ULPS on or off? Was thinking of adding another 280x to my Gigabyte Windforce but not sure I want them to stay @ high clocks permanently...

i just started on crossfire 2 x 280. The Afterburner has the Disable ULPS option unchecked by default so I suppose it's better left that way.

My main question is do we leave crossfire enabled at all times, or only when playing certain games?

For now, i leave it enabled when playing gpu intensive games. Would appreciate any response here.
