before i start flashing my bios and voiding my warranty can anyone confirm that flashing the bios to an asus bios will allow me to adjust the voltage?

You don't have to flash the bios for voltage control.
Matter of fact, Asus smart doctor is all you need.
MSI afterburner will also work, but Smartdoc allows for higher voltages.

i dont have the option in my msi after burn.. its a revision 2 if that helps anyone

i dont think that rev 2 cards can be software ov. they can only be hard vmoded. just like the gtx285.

this is hardcore stuff and if you are not careful will kill your card. if you do everytihng right you will have one of the fastest 5870s on air.
