all of sudden out of nowhere I start getting red flickering everytime I have sli enabled when running anything full screen
any game, any benchmark
if I switch to window mode fullscreen no flickering
if I go back to single gpu mode no flickering
the drivers will crash given enough time
I've tried re-installing, tried 3 different bridges, re-seated
all to no avail
however the upside to this is I notice a much smoother experience in single gpu mode vs sli after all these years

I don't think I'll ever go back to sli after this...

anyways is there a fix?

This happened to me a few days ago... cleaned the contacts and changed the bridge and it went away... you may want to try lightly wiping off the connectors to ensure secure connection

from your experience besides the sli flickering was there any other problems? any artifacting?

hmmm.... I don't think I saw artificating, but I did not allow it to run very long before shutting it off to attempt repair..

Artificating could be a side effect of a bad SLI connection; but so could many other problems...... do each perform fine when they are run alone? Does each board function correctly independently when it is the only one in the system?

Try each board separately to rule out that a board has a failure and not that SLI has a failure.

Failing card or bad bridge. Could also be bad drivers. Take one out and test.

did that yesterday and it didn't help
tried a different 3-way bridge and a 2-way bridge on different connectors
same problem
went back and tried drivers that were "known" to work
nope

my SLI is fubar'd in fullscreen mode
despite what others say, sli doesn't work in window fullscreen, it does unless the SLI indicator and sensor readings lie confused.gif
