The GTX 1080 aftermarket cards are around 6000 kr ($900 US)

I refuse to pay those prices so i am going to wait at least a month even if i was not upgrading my motherboard CPU and RAM.

Yeah better off waiting until the hype dies down. I kinda of regret getting the card so early cause of the placement of the warranty sticker. But I wanted to upgrade when I have been pushing a gtx580 w/ 1.5gb for a while @ 1440p.

Got my 1070 FE in today. Testing it right now and it loads at 78C. Seems a bit too high. Probably gonna adjust the fan curve soon.

I feel like that sounds about right from what I've seen from reviews?

no and they're still sitting in my account with the status 'Not yet shipped'. not sure when they'll ship. to temper my impatience i'm anticipating sometime between next week and the end of the month. someone on reddit posted a screenshot of amazon support saying his card will ship on June 22nd. so maybe that's when this batch will go out. we'll see.

So I got my 1070 in today and got it into the mobo just fine, but I haven't been able to install the drivers. I've removed the old drivers and uninstalled GeForce experience, ran the drivers as admin, contacted NVidia support and they had me update my bios and I found out my windows build has not progressed from the launch build since I upgraded to windows 10. So now I'm at work waiting 8 hours to go home just to manually install windows updates to hopefully resolve this debacle.

Enjoying my 1070 FE card. Just wondering if there is a way to get past 82c temp limit. Either way loving the card and how silent it is.

I missed my chance to order the G1, trying to decide if I want to wait it out or order a different brand.
