I should probably take a few pics of mine in the core 500 I have it in. . .
Looks almost like I need to loosen the belt on the case, like I do after Thanksgiving dinner.
I haven't even gotten around to learning how to overclock newer video cards, much less pascal, I'll read a guide in the next few days so I don't feel like I'm going to fry the thing. Trying to overclock it without knowing how.
Mines on the way. Just curious if a onwer out there can set the fan speed to a fixed 1400RPM and report temps?
I don't need it at 64C and would even accept 74C if it meant being much quieter.
Different climates, ambient temperatures, cases and fan locations all effect temperatures, the only way you would know if it were to hit those temperatures is to do the testing yourself sadly.
And if temperatures are your main focus set the fan profile you want, and use the temperature target feature, mine hardly gets that hot or noisy in my mitx case but the card is drawing in air from outside the case, granted I haven't even tried to do all that much with it yet.
Just got mine today and honestly I'm not very happy with it. Biggest annoyance for me right now is how awful the rgb leds are. It's basically impossible to get anything close to white, which is all I want. Now I just figured out that Afterburner can only control one of the fans so if you want a custom curve on all 3 fans you have to use Precision X. And of course it can hardly overclock at all, max I can get is 1987 MHz. At least it stays nice and cool...
