Has anyone done the shunt mod on the TV using 8mo resistors.?
Just curious, I did it with 5mo’s and thinking of changing it for the 8mo, is there a benefit ( like with the Rtx) or not worth it?

5MO stacked gives an effective 2.5 resistance.

Stacking an 8 on top of a 5 gives I believe 3.1 or so, meaning that the card will not pull as much power.

Since the whole point of fiddling with the power input shunt resistors is to allow the card to pull more power for higher stable boost clocks, i don't see any benefit to lowering the max gain attainable.

3MO seems to be safe on Turing (all 3 of my Titan RTX cards have been running this way for months), but 2.5 would have potentially allowed even higher overclocking if it was possible post-Volta.

It’s good to see your results Jpm .
I’ve not tested mine with Aida, but on other benches the tv gets much higher scores than the 2080ti and seems to run games smother ( sc, bfv, and fc5 ) so I’ve been tending to run with the Titan V.????????

with the exception of ray tracing, the TV is very good... and when the new NV driver comes out (April), it will do RT on all GPUs, not just those with RT cores. slower, but it will run fine. DL the new content creators driver (419.67, you have to select that option specifically) for your V. Better performance IMO.
The overwhelming high-precision (DP) capability (1/2 SP) is Quadra performance. Unfortunately, NV chose to make the RTXT a gaming card (only) and label it a Titan. Shame. I sent my two RTXTs back for that reason.
