Very interessting that the boost is way higher than on TITAN V (1455 MHz, results in mid 1500ish clocks avg. with default targets at 84°C). Can it maintain this boost clock by default?
Going to be interessting to see some (game) benchmarks later and compare these with some TITAN V results as this one seems to have 128 ROPs and a nice bandwith.
GPU-Z version 2.5.0 reported also wrong 426 TMUs but the 96 ROPs were correct for the V. Interessting is also that they did not remove the overclock ability for the Quadro, only no DSR. But in you're case you don't need it.

One result at the web so far, but as the guy doesn't have a native 4K(+) display he cannot go higher in resolution; I wish he had given more information about actual clockspeeds and sys specs though:

Working on some stuff now. I had done my Titan V benchmarks in 4k, but the Quadro doesn’t seem to support DSR so I can’t compare apples and apples.

So far: Unigen Heaven 1440p/max/8xAA is 2753 for Quadro vs 2724 Titan V (both with +50/50 OC)
https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comm..._voltapowered/

Although I won't buy neither the GV100 nor the TITAN V (I could but it would be a waste of cash only for gaming in my opinion compared to my two 1080 Ti's) it is some interessting performance preview what is going to come later and I appreciate all shared information on these very much. Thanks a lot!

It can easily maintain that Boost level and often scales higher...even into the 1700’s on occasion...

Nice, so maybe it is possible to run between 1700-1800s with some OC and lower temps. That would be quite astonishing for this big chip incl. this sweet amount of VRAM running at only 250W PT.

I bought the card mainly for better 8k performance than my 2x Quadro P6000 SLI setup. I hope it delivers... I have dual Dell UP3218K monitors, so I really need the 4x Displayport setup that the Quadros offer (why NVidia continues to install HDMI ports on cards instead of offering DP to HDMI adapters is beyond me). One can easily go from DP to HDMI, but to go from HDMI to DP is very hard.
can you please do some 8k gaming benchmarks rise of the tomb raider max payne 3 ?

Also can you pull the vbios with GPUz? I want to try flashing it to my Titan V cards to see if running a Quadro bios and driver allows NVLink to work.

Hope they will do this. I tried just force installing Quadro drivers but the Nvidia control panel still knew they were Titan V, so I'm hoping that with the Quadro BIOS I can fool it.

I can't for the time being. There is a bug in the drivers that disables all GPU boost if both Displayport connectors from the UP3218K monitors are connected (ie: when running at 8K)...and restores the GPU boost when one of the two DP connectors is disconnected. Working on a fix with NVidia.

I highly doubt this'll work. Even back many years ago (like 10 years and more) it was necessary to alter the placement of SMD components on the PCB to turn GeForce cards into Quadros. I imagine NVidia has further refined their hardware lockouts since then...????

I don't mind doing that either. Soldering is something I'm very comfortable with - had no issues adding the stacked shunt resistors on these Titan V's already

Comparing the Tesla V100, Titan V, and Quadro GV100 (the pics of the Tesla and Quadro that I can find at least) they seem to be physically identical on the 'back' side as far as SMD's. I have not yet found any pictures of the 'top' side of the Tesla or Quadro but as most of the component pads are populated on the Titan V, I don't think the Tesla or Quadro can have much more than perhaps the SMDs to enable and utilize the 4th HBM stack which is disabled on the Titan.

If I really have to I might end up buying a pair of Quadro GV100's and just go that route but since I have no need for 64gb of VRAM and I love tinkering, I'd rather figure out what modifications need to be done to make NVLink work on the Titans.

Just need to find a helpful soul with a GV100 to pull the vBIOS with GPU-Z to confirm whether or not the BIOS is part of the mod necessary...

Also, keep in mind that the GPUs are actually different (although they're very similar) due to the extra VRAM. In GPU-Z, the GPU itself is identified as a 1DB1, where the GV100 has an 1DBA identifier. You could easily brick your TItan Vs trying to flash the GV100 BIOS to your cards if the BIOSes are different enough due to the slight GPU change to be incompatible.
