Alright, so I sold my 1080ti locally yesterday and ended up purchasing a Gigabyte 2080 Gaming OC White. I've been out of the desktop scene for a long time, and am forgetting what steps to take to OC my card. I do have the Aorus Engine installed, should I use MSI AB instead?

"Full frontal nerdity," that quote suits me. Thanks, Better Off Ted.

[TOOL] Custom DSR Tool by Orbmu2k (NVIDIA Inspector) - up to 12.00x DSR works fine:
https://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbull...9#post11935309

A new nice toy for enthusiasts.

I made some screenshots:

UWQHD (3440x1440 native) - 12.00x DSR (11919x4989) - PCars 2 - SMAA Ultra + max. Details:

UWQHD (3440x1440 native) - 9.00x DSR (10320x4320) - max. Details each:

X-times more GPU horesepower and 24GB of VRAM would be nice to have - at least T-REX has got enough of the second one.

Additionally there is also a new RTSS based G-SYNC indicator by Orbmu2k:

Has anyone with the Gigabyte 2080 OC tried the new VBIOS released two days ago?

EDIT: Also, how would I go about checking which VBIOS version I have on my card right now? GPU-Z only shows a multi digit number, not anything like "F8" as Gigabyte calls it.

// Ryzen 2700X 4GHz // GSkill 16GB F4-3600 // 256GB 970 Evo NVME // Gigabyte 2080 Gaming OC White // NZXT H500i //

hmm.
Since beginning a GPU upgrade process, the MSI Gaming X Trio has dropped $200 to $1299 AUD.

Im just gonna grab this, as haggling for 1080 ti prices here ($800 for a basic 1080 ti without warranty or receipts, +$1000 for a high end.... ugh) saves me from any hassle.

At least it will run quiet and cool. Nice big MF'er as well.

Hi guys! Pondering over buying a 2000 series card. My 970 & 980ti are getting seriously long in the tooth. Might go for either 2080's or ti but 2080 seems enough for my 4k 60hz monitors. I enjoyed editing my 900 series bios's under water to truly max them but as we all know since Pascal that's not an option (Dam you Nvidia!). So.. I'm trying to find the best card to flash the best Bios. I would be water cooling it so not looking for best cooler, Just need good VRM, 'A' chip and compatibility with a beastly BIOS. Cost is also a consideration. I don't want to be paying for a fancy shroud or LED's or any other cosmetic cr*p. Just want good engine that'll take and handle a good remap.

Any ideas?

Hi

I got an MSI RTX 2080 Ventus OC version and I would like to know what bios are possible to flash on it to increase the power limit / whats?

This card is a reference PCB but I know that that's not the main concern, but actually the VRM controller, which unfortunately I can't find any information regarding this for this model.

Any one tried to flash any of the high power limite / whats into this card?

I imagine the Gigabyte +22% / 300w limit should work as it's also a pretty basic card with reference PCB, but maybe other bios with more power / W would work too?

I'm not concerned about the temperatures as I will be WC it.

Thanks!

You can try the Founders Edition BIOS which has 280w PL.

I have also a Card with standard layout (Palit 2080 Gaming OC) and the 350w F11 Gigabyte Aorus Extreme BIOS works well with my card (But im watercooled )
