You can try this: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/206986/206986

But there is a good chance that your card isn`t limited by PL rather than the chip capability

No, there's an official Aorus bios with 350W limit: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/...-8192-180928-2

But idk it will work fine for you.

I've tried quite a few BIOS on my MSI Ventus OC (even the one from MSI Gaming X with only 285W limit) and while the flash was successful, the performance dropped and the card was not stable.

I suspect MSI are hardware limited on power with transistor and only shunt mod can unleash it, but give it a try.

Should Aorus BIOS even work properly because it's a different PCB with different VRM?

There's quite a few reports with people using custom-PCB Bios on reference cards. It seems to me that it really depends on the small details on each card.

Nevertheless on my card no bios has worked w/o some issue, be either reference or not.

The Ventus OC seems to be basically a FE card (it uses even the same front plate) with a few modifications, so I guess only the bios that really work on the FE would work on it. I'm waiting for a few items to arrive in order to proper install a Kraken G12 + X42 on it, then I'll try a few BIOS again to see.

To anyone with a MSI 2080 Ventus OC, there's an updated bios provided by MSI on official forums.

It's uploaded also on TPU: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/206696/206696

I noted that with this bios my card finally reaches it's maximum TDP, which allowed me to reach +135 on core, even +150 on Superposition (previously was 120).

I've tried to use MSI OC Scanner with my card and it doesn't seem to work at all. The screen goes black after about 10min and stays black until I resset my PC. I've tested with max PL and Core voltage without luck.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

My turbo what I refunded was not an A chip, it seems the first batch of turbos where A chips but the later are not.

Anybody here tried to flash the Asus Dual o8g? asking for good bioses to flash, prob going to try the gigabyte 300w next unless the custom board bioses with higher tdp work also with refrence pcb, as my chip seems capable 2025mhz min and 2085mhz avg with max of 2135mhz in time spy extreme gt2, just hitting the power limit all the time (sometimes voltage too), also card going underwater asap. oh btw does the 2080 ti block work with refrence 2080? found one 2nd hand what would be much cheaper than buying new ek 2080 block as I am pretty sure only addional thing on ti pcb is more phases and the extra row of vram.

OC Scanner will go black or freeze the screen for a few minutes, but never happened to freeze for 10 minutes with me the times I tested.

Is recommended to run it with stock settings and stock bios.

Hy!

What do you think OCN'ers, is there any way to enable the disabled SM's to get more active cores? (full TU104: 3072 CUDA cores, 48 RT cores and 384 tensor cores)
