Looks like new version is a bit more sensitive to overclock, it would crash on my previous OC (that TimeSpy also crashed), which version 1 ran fine.

So I had to try and tweak my OC curve a bit more, so I lost a bit of score, down to 10393

Spoiler!

But that's good I suppose, it's more reliable to really find that max stable OC.

well, better than a phantom OC.

could you pop through a 1080p Extreme preset (the hardware sites use that preset) for review comparison?

and there is 430.53 (hotfix) nvidia driver as well.

Will do it tonight and report back.

Not sure why they use 1080p Extreme, Superposition is supposedly a GPU benchmark, but 1080p depends a lot of the CPU also, so you are more testing your CPU/GPU setup than the GPU

Regarding the driver, I'm still on 417.71, I follow driver releases very closely and the last ones they all had some weird issues so I stayed on this one, pretty stable.

Best score on 1080p extreme: 7990.
Spoiler!

But I don't consider this OC stable.

More and more I'm seeing that I was pushing the card too much and getting lucky.
For gaming and really sensitive engines seems this card is a 2160Mhz card while under 54C, which is what runs on Time Spy and eventually goes to 2145Mhz there when it peaks 56/57C (which never happens on games, so 2160Mhz)

Well I think I'm done with testings and tweaks, ended up with 3 profiles.
1)
Core clock: 2160Mhz while under 54C and 2145Mhz on benchmarks once hits 55C.
Memory: 8250Mhz
This is the one Time Spy will run, so I consider the one to use with "sensitive" engines.
It's pretty solid, will dip below 2145Mhz on TS only for some seconds on the really heavy parts where TS max TDP.

2)
Core clock: 2175Mhz while under 54C, 2160Mhz if above.
Memory: 8250Mhz

So far tested The Division 2 with it and didn't crashed after a long session, 50C max temp so 2175Mhz stable.
I consider this the "default" one as this game has a sensitive engine.
Time Spy do not run on this thought, will crash mid run.

3)
Core clock: 2190Mhz under 54C, 2175Mhz above.
Memory: 8286Mhz
Superposition 1.1 will run on this, but I suspect sensitive games wont sustain long runs.
Probably the one at the verge of stability as I see some occasional flashes on superposition run, but no crash.

All profiles at 1087mV.
50C for gaming max, 56 for benchs
No perfCap, only occasional Power on TimeSpy run.

i didnt seen any 2080 with more than 1.068v, so this has simething to do with the card/bios.
it is a evga ftw3? which pl do you have on this card?

Around 800 more than review site (guru 3D)
The 2080 ti is about 9150.
These aren't OC scores though.

The FTW3 is a 338W card, but that's not the reason, usually cards wont use max voltage even with the slider maxed out if you just use + Mhz OC mode, that how Boost works.

In order to maximize OC since series 10, you need to use Curve mode as the tutorial explains. If I just use + Mhz mode it doesn't go past 1050mV and don't reach the same OC.

Serie 20 max vcore is 1093mV, but at 1093mV perfCap will stay locked on "voltage", which I personally don't like as I have a feeling it affects performance, so I use one step down, which is 1087mV.

I did the same thing on a 2080 Ventus OC, so nothing to do with the card.

Of course is possible that a simpler card will yell Power on perfCap at 1087mV depending on the application, the Ventus OC peaked it's TDP (250W) on a few games at max vcore.
