+1200 Memory
50-60C Max temp

Going to push harder tomorrow, This card is a beast...

How do would I be able to push power limit higher than 100%?
I did the same thing. However, It appeard stable +102 and +1200. Try rdr2 and vulkan. In my case it wasn't stable. Everyone blamed rockstar. I ended up doing an auto scan OC and +900 on the memory. I lost about 3.3% in benchmark performance but no crashes in RDR2 and my fps increase from 52 fps to 57 fps average on the benchmark. I have an aorus extreme waterforce so my tdp can be set to 128% though. I have the bin A chip and samsung memory. It OC very well so I can't complain about just using the AUTO OC. It runs 2130mhz. Manual I was 2145mhz

I think the powerlimit is limited in the bios. It's not like our former 5700xt which just required tables in the registry. I admit, it was fun to water cooling and overclocking that overheating reference card.

New RTX 2080 Super XC

I just got this card and put it in my build from 3 years ago

Z270E ROG STRIX MOBO
16 GB RAM 2400 Mhz
Core i7 6700K with an Air Tower Cooler

I dont intend to overclock it but its getting at pretty high Temperatures

World of Warcraft on maximum settings is reach 69 C.

Is there anyway I can get the temperature down besides the fans? Is this normal even if I decide not to run the Fans?

Need some Advice

Temps seem fine for a stock cooler. If you want it to run cooler without running the fans harder you can lower the power limit/target temp with EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner.

Or throw a waterblock on it and build a custom loop. My 2080 doesn't even hit 50c during gaming.

Hi gang!

I finally got around to setting up my https://www.gigabyte.com/ca/Graphics...8SWF3OC-8GD#kf I was able to get +50/+1300 overclocks and everything seems stable thus far.

But the card seems to have a BIOS with 102% Power Limit locked in, does anyone know of any VBIOS that would work on this card? My model had 3xDP+1xHDMI and when I tried to flash the Gigabyte GAMING OC VBIOS' on it, at least one of the DP gets bricked. It looks like the other models have a USB-C connector, so I need something that's the same design as this PCB, any ideas?

Thanks!

For any one with the EVGA 2080 super FTW3 ultra. Its a 3 slot bracket design but does it come with a 2 slot bracket in the box ? I am interested in the card but i have a NZXT H1 case and it can only take a 2 slot card.

2080S Means %15 more than 1080Ti

I sold my 1080Ti and pay 100$ more for 2080s, if you find something like that it's worth it.

But if you gonna pay 200 bucks or more it's not worth IMO

The max oc for my ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 OC (ROG-STRIX-RTX2080-O8G-GAMING) seems to be +80 Core & +1230 Mem while still not running above 65°C. Quite statisfied with the oc.

Picked up a Strix 2080 Super, coming from a 1080 ti that wouldn't fit in my NZXT H1 so i needed something to hold me over until the next gen cards mature.
