Is it possible to still brick a card when flashing if card has dual bios switch? Thinking of flashing Galax bios to my strix.

okay tbh whats cheating or not correct with setting up your gpu into "performance" mode ? U can use LOD "tweak" for games if u want FPS. Setting performance preference in control panel isnt cheat either. Using best drivers for performance isnt cheat too, Sooo what wrong with that ? Only tweaks I can recall that arent ideal for daily are maxmem as youre limiting your ram size and stripped OS (isnt ideal but usable)

From my experience FE cards have very decent bin, not always golden one but a lot better than AIB cards. With AIB cards its pretty random. But best bins should still be KP and GALAX, About Lightning Im not sure how hard (or not whatsoever) are they binning.

Around where the level of the highest end card (but not XOC) for each AIB? Such as FTW3 Ultra, Strix OC, Gaming X Trio etc.

I USB Programmed the BIOS about 3 weeks ago and everything was perfect with it other than the BSOD if you saved a profile or tried to lower the power target.

I since switched to a few different BIOS's and ended up USB programming back to the HOF XOC.
I notice now there is a disclaimer on the description and now the BIOS will not allow the PC to wake from sleep without the PC restarting on it's own which it did not do the first time I flashed it before it must have been edited.

Also the first time I flashed that BIOS right before the OS loaded I would get a black screen showing Nvidia BIOS and the BIOS number and now it does not do that.

Hopefully you are in here and can take a look at it, if not it kinda sucks because it has ruined the BIOS.

I have USB programmed it 4 times now and cannot get the same result that I did the first time I Programmed it.
Can you please do me a favor and email this galax XOC bios that worked fine for you on your reference 2080ti..

thanks !!

I believe they are same, they are not binned so its totally random, however u also need decent PCB to match with good core so from the ones u listed I would go for Strix, best PCB from these, good XOC support etc.

Some people value e-peen and bragging rights more than pay-outs!

FWIW, I feel the same way you do about it. Take anything competitive, analyze it and there will always be tweaks, cheats, short-cuts, etc. that folks use to come out on top.

according to reference pcb analysis the reference one is powerful enough even for overclocking on water

Well im not even considering water as a serious OC, I was talking going rly cold (ln2,dice) u want cards with good XOC support so u can easily change voltages etc. In terms of VRMs FE (or reference) is powerful enough
