also check gpu-z to confirm if you have an A chip
Will try those instructions.

Tried 5.531 as well as every nvflash I could find, I have re installed windows and all drivers to the latest and it still won’t flash, wierd!
Going to give it a break and try again tomorrow,
Had to rma my first card, this is the replacement they sent me,

Your graphic score seems right, just that your CPU score is extremely low for the 7980XE, even my 8700K score 9400 in TimeSpy lol

For a better Physics score in Time Spy disable hyper-threading in bios. This works in Time Spy only not Extreme.

Hello everyone. I am in a need of advice/assistance from the soon-to-be fellow RTX 2080 Ti owners. Thank you very much in advance.

I am planning to buy an air cooled card and remove the shroud/fans to replace them with either two NF-A12x25s or two Silent Wings 3 140mm. Whichever ones fit, with the latter being preferable.

My potential candidates are Lightning Z and FTW3 Ultra. Maybe Gaming X Trio if it has the same sized heatsink as Lightning Z (with this one I would have to flash the bios, which I would like to avoid because of the risk of voiding the warranty). I would consider a HOF if they were available (don't know whether that shroud/display can be removed easily).

The goal here is to achieve the best noise/performance cooling ratio while having one of the potentially highest OCing air cooled cards. The price is not a consideration here. As I have understood while reading this awesome thread MSI has a larger heatsink than FTW3. Is that accurate? Also its height might allow fitting two 140mm fans instead of two 120mm. Can anyone verify? These factors would make it a number one choice for me. That is unless there is no way to do the mod without voiding the warranty on a MSI card. That is important for me. Can it be done? Otherwise, an FTW3 is the only choice.

i've contacted Bitspower and they told me they'll release a Lightning Z block soon , they're not working currently because of the Chinese new year though

EK should release a block too but it'll come out last like always

Hi,

Thought I'd share my results with a shunt modded and water cooled non-a board (MSI Ventus Ti) --> https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/33210282?

Graphics score is 16736 at +250/+1000, no added volts, and power limit set at +8% which should be about 439W. Water cooling with Bykski Ice Dragon RGB N-RTX2080TI-X and four Alphacool radiators (3*420 + 1*140).

445W on a Ventus? Custom BIOS I assume? Even the Lightning has a 360W max power cap.

Core i9 9900K @ 5.2 || EVGA Z390 DARK || 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4600 C18 @ 4266 C17 || GPU: EVGA Kingpin RTX2080Ti @ 2130MHz || Samsung 970PRO 1TB + 860EVO 2TB || Lian Li O11 Dynamic White || Corsair AX1600i || Screen: LG B8 OLED 55 and LG 34GK950F
Corsair H150i PRO + Noctua NF-A12x25
