Glad you make it BFV work,I usually test every game with my OC and if I'm getting TDR or CTD then tweaking is only option
What I remember in BFV I run all at max with 2070-2085MHz OC,RT I think I have used highest preset etc and no issues with TDR or CTD, I uninstalled BFV few months back after I finished SP, not sure why I just don't play at all MP games
I would try single player mission with yours settings there and then you should see if its stable etc, for most RT enabled games I'm using 2070-2085MHz OC profile which is OK
Here is my curve for "Non DXR games" (Not tested yet in all my games, but confident) :
+175MHz on Core and V/F point 1.093V/2160MHz
+1275MHz on Memory
This 2160MHz I can achieve too, yesterday I just tried Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and there I have seen 2160MHz which dropped to 2145MHz when temperatures rised to 42°C I think, during the game clocks have been in range of 2145-2160MHz that's with Matrix BIOS, seen GPU power at 359W during this game as max
I tested all games with such OC and no issues there
Have an asus strix 2080ti oc and was wondering which bios can flash for everyday use? Also can I flash over the silent bios instead of the main?
Personally I would suggest try Asus Matrix BIOS which I use on my Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix, offers higher power limit(360W) as stock Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix does have low or lower power limit at 320-325W which is just not enough
Other BIOS which does work with Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix is XOC BIOS but just be aware you will need to lower power limit from 100% to 38% or 42% but still what I don't like on this BIOS is VRAM is running at full speed
Due this I would recommend Matrix BIOS, off course you can try and flash any BIOS but be aware you will loose one DP port and HDMI port, if you want to cross flash different BIOS check I/O panel of the GPU of yours and GPU which you want to use
I have tried something : disabling FFR option in advanced graphic oprtions (Future Frame Render).
I could play one hour with my called "Non DXR games Overclock", which never happened until now !
With this OC, I usually crashed to Desktop 10 minutes maximum after entering a match, or even in the menu.
I willl try again tomorrow.
Do you have FFR enabled ?
If yes, try disabling it and play with DXR enabled with your maximum overclock profile to see if it helps.
Sadly I uninstalled BFV and not sure if I want to reinstall this game again as I finished the game
Probably will do few tests in other games, but in Control tried everything and best OC in Control is same 2070-2085MHz, probably will try with disabling few features if does CTD or will get TDR
Personally I have TDR at higher values as I render with GPUs and any instability in games usually ends with freeze or hard lock
But of course I do few tests later on and see if its passes
