EVGA Warranty sticker

I haven't opened up a gpu since the 780, but did so with 580, 670 and 780. I don't remember EVGA having one of these stickers. It doesn't say it voids the warranty but, maybe its just so they can know if
you removed the cooler? I was trying to see if there is a heat plate that can stay on when I strap an AIO to the card, but got scared when I saw that sticker. There si a screw under there fyi.

Doesn't matter why it's there - they can be ignored and they can't reject your warranty because it's missing (in the US, at least).

They only use that to check whether you have taken the cooler off. To see if they need to inspect the card for physical damage.

I think they can choke on stickers, they have no legal basis. It's a scare tactic. If you're still worried, most stickers can be easily removed especially when heated up and put on something such as rough plastic so they are easy to remove and reapply later. Or put them on a thin plastic foil, like a clear thin bag, then cut sticker out and glue it back on the card if wanted.

It's one damn good card anyway, jelly.

Hi,
Removing the sticker does not void a warranty it would have to be broken to install a water block and that is allowed it's a heads up sticker to say the card has been messed with in some way that's all and evga will do a micro fine inspection deeper than just outside cosmetic inspections.
A scratch will void a warranty though

I thought EVGA allowed for the removal and replacement of the heatsink wholesale without violating their warranty? And as long as you replaced the stock heatsink you could still RMA it as long as your aftermarket heatsink/waterblock installation didn't damage the card.

I have had to remove both of mine from my rtx 2080s from adding the EVGA hybrid kits. I was told, from EVGA, it does not affect the warranty. I just have to reinstall the original heatsink before any RMA shipping if needed. It won't void anything to remove it, at least with how warranty law works in the US. YMMV.
