2080ti xtreme Waterforce > rtx2080ti Asus Strix? Worth It?

Hi guys before i get roasted for asking a ridiculous question, Someone offered me a good buy in deal for my Aorus Waterforce RTX2080ti which is equivalent to a brand new Asus Strix OC RTX2080ti

I am seeing plenty of good reviews on the Strix card in terms of overclocking

Was just wondering is it worth the change?

My Aorus Waterforce has a stable overclock of 2070mhz boost clock (+85 mhz on MSI AB) with temps barely hitting mid 50s while gaming or full load.

Ive seen some reviews that the Strix can hit 2100 - 2115 mhz easily as they have higher power limit

Assuming if that is true, is the 30-40mhz worth the difference?

Or i would probably get the exact same performance in terms of FPS and its a no brainer

You're looking at 2FPS difference at most. You should ask yourself if trading noise and temperatures are worth these 2FPS.

Ah ha get it Thanks man..

Any idea how can i overclock my GPU higher since i have so much headroom in terms of temps?

I can only do so much using MSI AB

2080ti xtreme Waterforce > rtx2080ti Asus Strix? Worth It?

Wonder if you can flash a different bios or change the TDP settings for the card...I was playing with a GTX1080 and was editing the TDP setting with a .bat executable file you run after flashing the card...are you overclocking for benchmarks or games? Games I wouldn’t bother with it much trading a watercooled card for an air cooled one, unless you want to throw a waterblock on the Strix card. But you might end up with the same results as the Aorus card or worse...so it all gamble some times.

Also are there any difference in terms of FPS with 2050/2070mhz vs 2100mhz?
