Wierd hz change problem
So i have this wierd problem that is bumming me out...
When i power on my pc, then sometimes my current screen settings has been changed to 32 hz and i can only choose 30-24 hz.
or 82 hz being the max hz rate i can choose on my pg27uq asus 4 k screen.
When i shutdown the pc and boot up again, then i can choose all the hz up to 120/144 OC
Im using a 2080 rtx ti aorus extreme 11g card and a pg27uq 4 k asus monitor. with DP cable
But this only happens sometimes when i boot up. So im guessing it could be something with power or "handshake"
problem with the screen and gfx card.
My settings is 3840 x 2160 - 98 hz - 10 bpc - Full RGB and it seems to work fine when it actualy boots up
with these settings. " dosemt matter if HDR is on or off.
The monitor and gfx card is brand new and all drivers are up to date.
I posted this on other forums aswell and there was 2 other people that that had similar problem just using another 2080 rtx ti brand like evga and a acer 27x 4 k monitor ( the pg27uq : acer version )
For now i created a RMA case and im gona send it back to Gigabyte for testing.
Also i found out that i dont need to reboot the pc. I can just reset the monitor options in the OSD but this only fix it here an dnow until next tim ei reboot then there is a russian roulette chance one of these hz modes will apear.
But i still want to share this with others and hear if this is a rare problem beside artifacts and crashing and black screen problems
