[Various] "Some" Reviewers Give Negative Bias towards Navi auth. by Nvidia

Edit:
Additional information found. I did see it mentioned a few times calling a disconnect between the actual results of the 5700 XT and the recommendation for Nvidia GPU(s).

I will highlight this comment made on the video as it correlates to the videos.

Quote:
Rumours have been circulating regarding NVIDIA paying reviewers to favour their GPUs in the NAVI reviews and after watching this again, it does feel kinda sketchy. Here he is not talking about the price to performance AMD offers where the NAVI cards are shadowed by him constantly talking about ray tracing and how AMD "is not quite there yet", but it is obvious that AMD right now 5% within NVIDIA being $100 cheaper. I have always been on team green and was about to by the 2070 Super, however AMD wins in here with the 5700 xt costing $100 dollars less than a 2070 super and $300 less than a 1080ti with performance within 5%. Ray tracing is the new technology that will be in mainstream games from now on, but right now the technology has not matured yet to efficient. Therefore, reasons to buy the RTX cards are not strong enough right now, buy this may change from NVIDIAS 30 series. When I first watched this video something felt off and after seeing the rumours I'm pretty certain this channel is being influenced by NVIDIA. It's a shame tech channels have come to this.

Sooooo ... drivers possibly gimping the cards and the cooler being loud = NVIDIA telling reviewers to bash AMD?

not sure I follow the logic there

Intel i9 9900K Coffee Lake @ X8 5309mhz (+47.5%)
AMD FX-8320 Vishera @ X4 5022mhz (+43.5%)
Intel i5 4690K Haswell @ X4 5013mhz (+43.2%)
AMD X4 960T Zosma @ X6 4870mhz (+62.3%)
Intel i7 6700 Skylake @ X4 4709mhz (+38.5%)
Intel i5 6400 Skylake @ X4 4588mhz (+69.9%)

Dunno what he's on about. All I've been hearing from reviewers is "good card, ****ty blower, wait for custom AIB".

Back when they were ATI cards, things seemed better. Driver releases were competitive.

AMD mostly treats GPU's like an inferior loss leader nowadays; cost above quality.

Poor Turing, Navi clocks to 2.2GHz+.

I have no problem with reviewers/advertisers/influencers bashing AMD, Nvidia, Intel, etc. for poorly price products causing bad value. Essentially they have moved mid range into high end pricing and low end to mid range.
Navi10 should be replacing Polaris at <$300. And 2070 a 1070 at <$400. But here we are at +100$ still.

I watched the reviews from a bunch of the major reviwers and got the same feeling. Its a good card, nothing special but definitely a good option in its bracket but the blower cooler is crap.

Its a benchmark thread...if you want pics go look on newegg. Thats what the cards look like. They didn't secretly send me orange ones.

80~90% faster at compute workloads compared to the GTX 1070. I wouldn't expect them matching the GTX 1070 pricing.

While I understand that point and respect it, I wish they had not forced me as a gamer only to absorb that as well.

Is that also your view on the Radeon VII?
