RTX 2070 Super Bios Flash To RTX 2080 Theory

This theory has not been tested. But I believe the super series may possibly have unlock-able cores if flashed to the proper bios version. Has anyone tested this out? I also wanted to know if anyone thought a 2070 super with an 8x and 6x connector would run on a 620w powersupply even though the 650w minimum is recommended. I have been told many cards run way under TDP usually.

Example card: https://www.newegg.com/evga-geforce-...-456-_-Product

isn't the 2070 super beating the 2080 in most benchmarks?

I only have 2080 but if I had 2070 super I would do this but it is Nvidia not AMD here. You never know though anything is possible.

Depends on whether they have been laser cut down or just soft-locked and whether nvflash allows disabling the write protection and allows the cards ID to be overwritten.

If above conditions are met, then there's no reason why flashing it and unlocking it wouldn't work but Nvidia has locked down shader unlocking pretty well in older gens so.. chances aren't high.
